Technology & DevelopmentJob Description:
This role belongs to part of the Kingdom we call Shared Tech. The teams within Shared Tech work as B2B organizations working across all the technology that we use to power our live games, including; data infrastructure, machine learning, payments infrastructure and the game engines themselves. The vision within Shared Tech is to provide a competitive technological advantage for our game teams to help them deliver an amazing player experience to our 250 million active live users a month.
Team
In the ML Platform Infrastructure team we manage the cloud infrastructure for the machine learning platform that we’re building. Our team is fairly new and we’re also going to support the Data organization with shared infrastructure. The infrastructure that we maintain currently runs in GCP and we run most of our internal services in Kubernetes.
We work closely together with the other teams of developers and machine learning engineers etc. We help them to make the right decisions when it comes to building stable and reliable services. We highly believe in building self- service tools that allow developers to build, deploy and monitor their own services. We regularly update the tools and services that we use, and we try to automate as much as possible. We’re open to new technologies, be it a paid service or an open source product running in Kubernetes.
We currently do not have any on- call responsibilities but that will likely change in the future and this role will be part of that rotation.
Your role within our Kingdom
We’re now looking to expand the team with a Principal SRE that will help us to design, build and maintain our cloud infrastructure. We hope that you have a broad expertise in infrastructure and cloud products and that you are used to leading and having technical oversight of ongoing projects. You are comfortable making technical decisions based on our current situation and you enjoy solving all sorts of problems.
We believe that knowledge sharing is highly important and we enjoy mob programming and collaboration. We hope that you share that view and that you’re a good mentor, that you have a service minded attitude and that you’re always willing to help your colleagues both within and outside of our team.
