Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Analyst with a passion for data driven platforms, digital advertising, and the gaming industry to help us scale our player- first advertising business. You will work embedded in a game studio, collaboratively with an array of demand / ad operations, data science and support functions to sustainably grow our advertising revenue. You will play a pivotal role in the decision- making that will directly impact the top- line revenue generation for one of our world- class titles. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular analysis of revenue trends and KPIs to optimise performance across our existing ads demand channels and generate insights that drive our strategic roadmap 

  • Create and own analytics dashboards that will inform and update stakeholders on ongoing ad monetization on our mobile titles and experiments to improve monetization

  • Distil key insights from A/B tests and conduct deep- dives that will inform demand strategy and directly fuel ads revenue growth via pricing adjustments and ongoing waterfall management

  • Be part of a team of 20+ talents working on building the best monetisation (in- game purchases + ads) & economy experiences for our players!

There is plenty of scope at King for you to learn from your colleagues in the areas where you have less experience, and to share your own skills where you are stronger.

Specific factors that are helpful to excel in this role include:

  • Work experience: 3+ years experience working in an analytical role within advertising, gaming, tech, or management consulting

  • Business Insight: Demonstrated business judgement in generating insights and actionable next steps from complex data

  • Statistics: Understanding the AB- testing methodology, ability to make judgement calls on these or the others methods’ applicability

  • SQL: The ability to write complex SQL queries and navigate a data warehouse to analyse the behaviour of our 300+ million players (BigQuery is the dialect we use)

  • Communication: Designing good ways of communicating, visualising or reporting your results/analysis so they are clear and unambiguous

  • Analytical coding: Using tools such as R, Python or Excel for analytical purposes

  • Skills with standard reporting tools such as Looker/QlikView/Tableau/etc

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with mobile ad technology / operations, including waterfall management, yield optimisation and working with demand providers (e.g. ad networks, exchanges, etc.)

  • Experience with BI- tools as Looker or similar analytics platforms

  • Knowledge of ad / game industry best practices for app monetisation, including advertising optimisation and balance vs. in- app game purchase revenue streams
