Craft:Games Design & Production
We are looking for Technical Artists to join our team based in Stockholm, Berlin, London or Barcelona.
Your role within our Kingdom
You will be part of a dynamic core team of technical artists and programmers, working on improving and supporting King’s largest games. As a technical artist, you will be a key member of the group, helping solve problems, design and optimize features and workflows, build tools, support content creators and push boundaries. You will work closely with the different crafts within King’s dynamic game teams, providing support, assistance and drive quality for key areas of the projects.
You will also be part of the wider Technical Art Community at King, a unique environment where we share and support each other to achieve our full potential. At King we value our personal growth very highly, and as such you will receive plenty of support to focus on the areas you want to master.

Skills to Create thrills
Good knowledge of one major 3D software packages (Maya preferred)
Good knowledge of 2D creation software (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Familiarity with game engine workflows and a good understanding of real- time rendering processes and pipelines (experience with GLSL/HLSL)
Good scripting ability (e.g. Pymel, Python API)
Proven track record of both artistic and technical creativity with a real passion for solving problems
Passionate about optimizing games content for memory and performance
Desire to push visual quality or streamline workflows
Experience in creating various game content (animations/modelling/etc)
A proactive communicator, willing to give and receive constructive feedback
Good organizational skills
Proactive in learning and developing your skills
An online portfolio demonstrating all aspects of your skills would be appreciated.
Tasty Bonus Skills
Experience with custom game engines
Understanding of GLSL or similar shading language
Previous experience from creating midcore and/or mobile games
Experience with procedural content generation
Experience of creating AAA console or mobile titles
Experienced in working in an Agile / Scrum environment
Knowledge of typical development languages (C++, C#, Python, Rust)
Knowledge of mathematics and physics (vector calculus, linear algebra)
Technical art is a part of Game Production in King’s Shared Tech division - we operate across all games at King, supporting them with unified tools, workflows and all aspects of content creation. In this job, you will be exposed to a multitude of teams, games and professions.
