Senior Data Scientist | Shared Tech

We are looking for a passionate and creative Senior Data Scientist! Someone who is interested in pushing the boundaries of machine learning and games analytics, with a demonstrable ability to apply your skills, be it technical, behavioral or economic, practically in order to generate business value.

Your role within our Kingdom:

You´ll be part of a King Central ML R&D team, working closely together with ML Researchers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists, focusing on developing and operationalizing machine learning (ML) models as part of King’s central machine learning initiatives, which include identifying, scoping, implementing and analyzing machine learning use cases for our games. You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying potential business opportunities, translating business needs to technical requirements, scoping and building scalable machine learning models and solutions,
  • Designing scalable, efficient, quality data science tools to inform operations and measure performance.
  • Translating requirements from cross- disciplinary teams in Game Operations, Marketing, CRM, etc into data and ML solutions.
  • Surfacing and communicating our results to both technical and non- technical colleagues by generating dashboards, reports and presentations.
  • Being the pro- active owner of the entire data chain for your project(s).

Minimum requirements:

  • M.S. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, or other quantitative field.
  • 3+ years experience as a data scientist.
  • General machine learning expertise, i.e. regression, classification, and clustering algorithms, time- series analysis, Bayesian methods, and survival analysis.
  • Prototype- to- production engineering skills in Python, including standard methodologies such as proper documentation, library packaging, versioning, testing and task scheduling.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Professional habits around model validation, testing, and tracking.
  • Solid understanding of statistics, e.g. statistical power analysis, significance testing, t- tests, ANOVA.
  • Experience in distributed data processing and modeling (batch & streaming)
  • Experience building data pipelines and ML pipelines
  • Experience in GCP data products (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub to name a few)
  • Designing good ways of communicating, visualizing or reporting your results/analysis so they are clear and unambiguous.
  • Good collaborator management skills.
  • A passion for analytics and diving into as well as experiencing the products on which you work (video game enthusiasm with a solid understanding of the connection of gameplay to spending behavior is a plus)

Bonus skills:

  • Development in or exposure to environments/software products in Python and Java
  • Experience managing or mentoring other Data Scientists and ML Engineers in the team.
