IT Procurement Junior Buyer


Job Description:

Activision Blizzard King (ABK) is looking for an IT Procurement Junior Buyer to support the sourcing, procurement, invoicing, and payment processes within the ABK IT Purchasing Department based in Barcelona (Spain). You will directly support the global ABK IT Department associated spend with their purchasing needs and requirements through a structured approach to ordering, processing and controlling the payment process of purchase orders and invoices.

Therefore, we are looking for someone with some experience in IT software licenses and hardware equipment with a consistent track record on managing IT suppliers in the purchasing space. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building and maintaining great relationships both internally as well as externally with our IT supplier base.

Overall responsibilities will include:

  • As part of the Global Tech Procurement team, this role will be responsible for raising purchase orders for ABK’s internal customers into the e- procurement system (iProc/Oracle) for the purchase of equipment, software and other products to fulfil internal requests received via the ticketing system (ServiceNow)

  • Entering, configuring, and managing suppliers and vendors correctly into the Vendor Portal and ensuring that the vendor set- up is aligned to the agreed contractual terms and conditions as per the provisions established in global purchasing agreements

  • Maintain IT procurement cost savings tracking, contract repository metadata for all transactions in scope for this role

  • Follow procurement policies and processes

  • Other duties as assigned

You will have experience with the following:

  • Impeccable attention to detail, organizational and time management skills

  • Basic knowledge of current computer hardware and software technology

  • Experience with Microsoft O365, ServiceNow, and Oracle (or any comparable system)

  • Self- motivation and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously

  • Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Desirable to have some operational purchasing experience with external third- party providers and to have a basic, working knowledge about Procure- to- Pay processes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (full proficiency)
