This is an exciting time for King’s Financial Insights & Strategy team, and we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join us, reporting into a Finance Director.
Ideally you are a qualified Accountant, with strong experience in managing projects. You are able to handle and progress multiple projects at once and report on the progress of these in a comprehensive, consolidated, and consistent way. You are eager to take over the responsibilities of pushing project management execution excellence into the various initiatives.
We are seeking someone who is organised, proactive, willing to get stuck- in and help out where needed to make projects a success. Someone that is looking to grow in their role, take on more responsibility over time, and helps to improve the overall project management capability to an outstanding level.

The role is broken down into two core areas:
Manage projects to clear timelines, high quality and within budget
Build and maintain detailed project delivery plans and tracking tools, ensuring alignment of these plans across FI&S and other impacted teams across the business
Monitor project activities and provide status updates on project delivery progress, flagging and managing the mitigation and resolution of risks and issues as required
Work with the FI&S Leadership team to identify, scope and prioritise projects
Support management to achieve the appropriate resource balance between BAU and project activities where the project requires, support the creation of process maps, UAT material, training and communications
Help us cultivate a delivery- focused culture where we simplify and continuously improve the things we do
Work collaboratively with the FI&S team, other Project Managers and departments within King and AB to ensure interdependencies between teams/workstreams are proactively led
Liaise with the business and other teams to ensure any requirements being worked on are sufficiently well understood by all
Provide frequent updates on project progress, tailoring the messaging to the audience in question
Skills to create thrills
A project management background with a successful track record of leading multiple small to medium scale projects throughout their full lifecycle. It would be helpful if this experience was gained whilst operating within a Finance team and/or a large consultancy firm
Proactive and driven in nature; goes above and beyond
Experience of effective matrix management of project teams
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills
Excellent organisational, and time management skills
Experience of working effectively with external service providers
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Ability to raise and articulate risks and issues in a timely manner to the right people at the right time
Advanced Excel skills, along with good PowerPoint presentation, Word and Office skills
