We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Corporate Network team and support and improve our internal corporate network.
About ABK IT Corporate Network Team
Our job is to design, maintain and constantly improve the network environment used by our corporate users. We are in an ever- changing environment where flexibility and “thinking outside the box” is a must.
Your role within our team
The Senior Network Engineer is part of the team responsible for the entire internal network infrastructure. You will be part of a global, fast paced, growing gaming company in an exciting and rewarding environment. You will be working on and sometimes leading projects for future enhancements and managing day to day tasks. This role focuses on supporting the network for internal users rather than the gaming technology but is key to ensure that the company’s technology runs smoothly.
With your expertise in the network realm and with a general knowledge of IT you will be responsible for:
Maintaining and developing the current Network infrastructure both OnPrem and in the Cloud
Influence and design network enhancements
Promote network and data security best practices and standards
Be part of a dynamic team of network engineers that work closely together
Work closely with Security and System Administrator teams at times on specific projects
Project planning for new designs – take ownership for network enhancements, engage with your Network team colleagues to create possibilities and produce the ultimate solution
Lead technical workshops & meetings when necessary and talk on both a senior and junior level
Implement and maintain next generation firewalls
Promote network and data security best practices and standards
Work with vendors to deliver solutions e.g. circuit ordering and implementation, new technologies, technology refresh
Skills to create thrills:
You have a deep understanding of networks – routers, switches, firewalls, remote access, NAC, security threats, network design, the OSI model and intrusion detection
We’re looking for someone who can manage their own projects and maintain focus on key deliverables as well as managing day to day admin tasks
You will also understand the Windows AD domain and general OS principles to be effective in your role
Other skills include:
Cisco CCNP or equivalent
Experience both in design, implementation and maintenance of networks.
Strong problem solving and logic skills required
Strong organizational skills required
5+ years of working in network engineering
Experience with Palo Alto Network Firewalls administration
Experience with Cisco routers and switches
Experience with Network Access Control (802.1x) and Cisco ISE
Experience with Cisco Wireless Access Points and controllers
Experience with VPN
Experience with BGP
Experience with Load balancer administration
Experience with Infoblox
Thorough understanding of operating systems
Customer focused
Security focused
You're non vendor specific and have an open mind to all technologies
You have excellent people skills at all levels
You're able to write and speak excellent English
Tasty bonus skills:
ITIL background
Infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform and GitHub
GCP network administration
Experience with Cisco DNAC
