Your Mission
Activision, the publisher of the hit Call of Duty franchise, is looking for a skilled software engineer/developer to join our Activision|Blizzard|King (ABK) Information Security team.
At ABK we aim to provide the best user experience and business driven processes to manage our identity data, and the authentication and authorization experience for our users. You’ll be joining a highly technical team who are charged with a mission to design and build an identity and access management (IAM) program that provides identity governance and provisioning services across the breadth of the enterprise via a single unified identity.
You’ll contribute towards that effort by designing, building and maintaining software solutions that standardize, simplify and accelerate the onboarding of internally developed tools to our centralized IAM systems, allowing enhanced identity governance and modern authentication and authorization options. As the lead developer, you’ll work closely with our Principal IAM Architect to understand our program capabilities and strategic direction. You’ll then partner with our development teams to gain a thorough understanding of their requirements and ways of working, before setting about your initial solution design and build.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing and building software solutions from scratch, meticulously gathering requirements from business stakeholders, detailing user stories that ensure clarity of understanding for all parties, and a strong desire to follow iterative development practices.
Priorities can often change in a fast- paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Designing and building software solutions that enable identity and access management functionalities within our internally developed applications, systems and services
Partnering with development teams to integrate the solution(s)
Supporting development teams with design advice and recommendations on architecting secure software solutions that place identity authentication and authorization at the forefront, and that provide fine grained permission schemes for managing access to data therein
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
A self- starter attitude, able to take direction and execute tasks on your own while working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong desire to learn and deliver meaningful results with a focus on business value/outcomes
Extensive technical experience, including designing, programming, deploying and maintaining of software solutions across multiple languages
Experience developing software solutions with Java and C++, with a proficiency in modern server- side Java development
Experience developing and working with APIs
Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
Experience with Git or other version control systems
Experience with Cloud technologies: Preferably Google Cloud Platform
Experience understanding and distilling complex technical requirements and turning those into architectural designs
Experience working with systems integration projects
Experience working with Java, XML, SQL, REST APIs, SCIM, JSON
Focused on writing high quality code that is easy to maintain and read by others and incorporates secure coding practices
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Willing to travel occasionally
Extra Points
BSc in Computer Science, Cyber/Information Security or other related subject area or experience
Experience developing and delivering security related solutions
Experience working with remote procedure call (RPC) protocols
Good understanding of IAM and Information Security best practices
Some experience of IAM, SSO, multi- factor and other authentication and authorization technologies, e.g. SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth, LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, Kerberos etc
