Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Business Analyst with a passion for data driven platforms, digital advertising, and the gaming industry to help us scale our player- first advertising business. You will work collaboratively with an array of demand / ad operations, game studio, product, data science and support functions to sustainably grow our advertising revenue. You will play a pivotal role in the decision- making that will directly impact the top- line revenue generation for our world- class titles.

Your Role Within Activision Blizzard Media

  • Perform regular analysis of revenue trends and KPIs to optimize performance across our existing ads demand channels and generate insights that drive our strategic roadmap
  • Create and own analytics dashboards that will inform and update stakeholders on ongoing ad monetization on our mobile titles and experiments to improve monetization
  • Distill key insights from A/B tests that will inform demand strategy and recommendations for our senior game stakeholders
  • Transform data into insights and recommendations for yield optimizations across programmatic channels and ad networks, including pricing adjustments and ongoing waterfall management
  • Serve as an expert for ads monetization performance and conduct deep- dives to thoroughly understand and explain the performance of ongoing experimentation
  • Partner with data and product teams to identify areas of improvement in data- handling and reporting, to support effective insight generation
  • In collaboration with the entire Demand Operations team, be accountable for the performance of ads monetization and demand experiments that fuel ads revenue growth

Skills to create Thrills

  • You have 2+ years experience working in an analytical role within advertising, gaming, tech, or management consulting
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated business judgment in generating insights and actionable next steps from complex data
  • Effective multi- stakeholder communications, both written and verbal, in the context of both day- to- day operations and long- term planning, including at a distance across time zones
  • Experience with Looker or similar BI analytics platforms and collaborating with data engineering / product teams to provide feedback on tools and highlight areas for improvement
  • The ideal candidate will be service- oriented and willing to go the extra mile to ensure stakeholders and game studio partners are successful in scaling ad monetization experiences

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with mobile ad technology / operations, including waterfall management, yield optimization and working with demand providers (e.g. ad networks, exchanges, etc.)
  • Familiarity working within a validation centric environment where decisions are data- led and new innovations are frequently subject to robust A/B testing prior to adoption
  • Knowledge of ad / game industry best practices for app monetization, including advertising optimization and balance vs. in- app game purchase revenue streams
