A great saga needs all sorts of heroes

In Making the World Playful, we need the world to be reflected in our teams. After all, a great saga requires a diverse range of heroes, with different skills, experiences, and viewpoints. So we can craft incredible things together.

With millions of global players in our community, there’s no such thing as a typical gamer for us! And we want our Kingsters to reflect that immense diversity too. We may all share the same passion, but we don’t have to share everything else. In the Kingdom, we celebrate our differences. And we believe diversity is the key to supercharging our future.

We’re working hard to achieve this. And we’re rolling up our sleeves to do more. Through things like our Inclusive Leaders and Kicking Glass programmes. We’re working with our under-represented Kingsters to blaze a trail in our industry and create a diverse Kingdom that truly reflects the breadth of players we serve.

Our Networks

Our employee networks connect Kingsters across the company. They provide a way to share things, whether that’s support, ideas, or a meal to celebrate new friendships. Our networks host everything from movie nights to lunch and learns, speaker events to industry meetups. Whether you’re a natural organizer, or simply looking to connect, our networks are there for you.

We want the Kingdom to reflect the ethnic, cultural, and national diversity of our Kingsters, our players, job markets, and communities around the world.

Kaleidoscope promotes and celebrates an inclusive Kingdom. The aim is to bring different cultures together to create a safe space to share our cultural backgrounds, and celebrate diversity of ethnicity.

We all share different experiences, roles and backgrounds. We have different reasons for why we are part of Kaleidoscope - both serious and fun. What connects us is our openness to embracing our cultures, and sharing what makes us different. And often, we discover we have more in common than we might think. We strive to be an employer of choice that attracts, retains and motivates talented and performance-driven people in our offices around the world.

King is a place where you can bring your whole self to work. Royal Unicorns champion LGBTQIA+ inclusion and celebrate Pride across all King locations. The network organizes events and helps us raise awareness and knowledge about our LGBTQIA+ population.

Royal Unicorns play an important role in creating an inclusive and safe environment for members and allies, guiding us through education, providing a better understanding of LGBTQIA+ issues and showing us how we can offer support.

By tracking improvements over time, Royal Unicorns ensure inclusion is embedded throughout the Kingdom.

We’re out to crush bias and Women@King are leading the way. We believe in equal opportunities and help our Kingsters excel through career support, networking events, mentoring, and recognition.

Our core goals are to create a gender-equal workplace and community, encourage the recruitment and retention of women, and educate and inform on the issues women face in our industry. We also create as many opportunities as we can for the women of King to connect, share their stories, and celebrate each other.

The Collective Abilities Network (CAN) is a space to unite Kingsters with apparent or hidden disabilities, neurodiversity, and mental health issues, and their caregivers and allies too.

We’re making King as inclusive as possible by establishing processes, improving existing ones, and acting as a mediator between Kingsters and King’s leadership. We’ve got big plans to do more, and we’re continuing to grow. We want to see a truly accessible world, and we’re creating educational events, such as sign language classes.

We also work with our Game Design teams to make sure representation is seen throughout our games.
